We don’t appreciate something until we’ve already taken it for granted.
I had lunch with a friend today and she brought up Gay Marriage being legalized in the U.S. She talked about being against the decision (which I took as misunderstanding on her part,) and she stated that this was a sign the world was going to end. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not sure just how serious she was… but to say things like that, kidding or not; IS NOT COOL. You can not relate to something, you know nothing about. You can’t offer your input on anything without experiencing it yourself. If you are heterosexual, does that mean you should be treated differently than homosexuals, bisexuals or transgender individuals?!?!? If you answered yes to this question, you’re wrong. That a form of segregation, which we did away with long ago! We are all human and should all be treated equally. If you have any questions or concerns about the LGBTQ community, I suggest you become educated because there can be no progress with ignorance. We all deserve the right to be miserable in holy matrimony. And if you don’t like it, Oh Well!
Lying to me gives me the impression that you think I’m dumb enough to believe you. It’s an insult to my intelligence. So just be honest!
Expectations lead to disappointment.
If you are a female and your feet are covered all year round; I’m lookin at you sus.
That is all.
When it comes to a romantic relationship, I’ve learned; everything my significant other was willing to do to have me, usually isn’t what they are willing to continue doing to keep me.
There is NOTHING WORSE than a sidepiece that doesn’t follow instructions.
I went to the zoo a few weeks ago. Doesn’t matter why I was there, point is, I went. Once there I became excited to see the animals. Once I saw them, I realized that the zoo is jail for animals! It made me question why we have zoos’? They suck. I mean, put yourself in the animal’s position; how would you feel if someone kidnapped you from your home with tons of free, open space where you could do what you want, when you want, with nobody messing with you (as nature intended) and placed you in a small room against your will so people could admire you. You would think it sucked too. I saw a polar bear, a tiger and some bison. And the fact that they are unhappy is apparent in their demeanor. They all looked like something was missing. They just looked over the crowd looking at them. Probably thinking what they would do to us if we didn’t have a barrier between them and us. I don’t know if it’s just me but it felt unnatural for me to be in the same vicinity as these animals. Thinking about National Geographic and the Discovery Channel and shows I’ve seen about these animals in the wild, replaying in my mind and seeing them face to face, was a huge difference. It was sad and disappointing. It killed my vibe and I left within 30 minutes of arriving. Blah.
Okay, so my friend invites me to her wedding and when she’s telling me about it over the phone, I was super excited and couldn’t wait to be there on her big day. A few days later, I receive the invite in the mail and this card is included with the invite (I have blocked certain info for identity purposes.) A rush of emotions went through me, I was shocked, confused and offended. I already have to buy a dress, might have to buy shoes, do my hair, get my nails done and get to your wedding (all these things require me spending money.) Now you have the nerve to request a gift of your choice, which is monetary?!?!? You got nerve. You better take what I give you as a gift.
See this, made me decide it was just too expensive to attend this wedding. But I wish them the best of luck and pray their union is forever. Girl Bye!
